Kavanaugh was not Elevated, America Lowered its Esteem

I am truly shocked and profoundly disappointed with the appointment of Bret Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court of the United States. I am disgusted and cannot find it within me to wish him well. But I’ve been here before. My outrage, I am referring to. It’s nearly similar to the night that Trump was given the office of president. The day Clarence Thomas was given his seat on the Supreme Court.
In all three cases, they got positions they did not deserve, the lead up was broadcasted world wide yet they got what they wanted. Quality of character be damned.
I know personally, a job applicant who was denied employment because she committed an eighteen dollar misdemeanour.
I know a man who lost his job because a police decoy made sexual advances to him. He did nothing. What exactly are the rules? Well, it depends? That is the very center of unethical behaviour.
I can’t find it in me to ever accept Kavanaugh as a justice on the Supreme Court, any more than I accept Trump as president or Clarence Thomas ensconced on the Supreme Court.
Today, Kavanaugh was not elevated to the Supreme Court, the court was lowered to accommodate his character deficiencies.
Last night I was reading a book authored by G.K Chesterton. He opined that revolutions often occur but go unnoticed. When the tumult is finally acknowledged by the government, what they witness is usually the ending of the revolution. I thought that very interesting.
